Find Wanderlust!!

         FIND WANDERLUST!

Wanderlust is a term I wrote about some posts ago. But a friend of mine has taken it to traverse the area like a wander searching for something to satisfy their soul.
A place we think is rather peaceful is on a rock slab facing north. It faces an old Indian trail/ stagecoach trail. Here we can see into the simi valley and parts of the San Fernando Valley. The trail head was made by us.

For those who drive the 118 or Santa Susanna Pass have passed it a million times. But for us, it's relaxing gazing up at the sky.

The slab is just a nice spot to lay on, eat and talk about life. If that doesn't help the soul there is another spot further up.

There is a rock that looks like a sniper is hiding in it. I'd avoid that. Instead head west until the old stagecoach/Indian Trail is seen. From there head to the side of the small hill on a path that looks like the animals have made. It's unstable at best, but it smells awesome from the little sage bushes.

There are two choices of where to sit back, In my opinion the best is this beast of a rock that sits on a "hump" of the mountain. It's not the highest point but it's big enough to sit on, and enjoy the vast size of the San Fernando Valley.

We are close enough to the valley yet far enough that there is no noise of traffic!! I wouldn't say it's devoid of noise completely, a near by hidden canyon has some houses.  But they keep to themselves.

Here I've made peace with leaving the valley. Here I can let the California kiss my skin. Also here I didn't find inner peace, but I know that I'm gonna take a piece of California where ever I go.
